Rudi and his handler Darryn from the US Fish and Wildlife Service just attended a training and certification workshop for NAPWDA (North American Working Dog Association) in Ohio. The training was challenging, but this team was up to the challenge. We're happy to report Rudi and Darryn certified for both narcotics and patrol. Rudi is one of the very few patrol dogs for US F&WS and for good reason. Rudi has to ride on a boat, four wheeler, airboat, snow-mobile and bust through swamps, mud and ice just to get to work. Not many dogs can handle the stress of his work environment, but he loves it. His next skill is training for hard surface tracking.
